Adam Rabin Publishes an Article in FAWL Journal on Improving the Retention and Advancement of Women Lawyers Through Flexible Scheduling
Firm partner, Adam Rabin, has published an article in the November 2014 FAWL Journal on “Flexible Scheduling: Improving the Retention and Advancement of Women Lawyers.” In the article, Mr. Rabin assesses the progress that law firms have made in recent years to allow for flexible schedules and to promote those arrangements to existing and potential employees. As a firm managing partner, Mr. Rabin also takes a practical view of the formula for success for both the employer and employee in when an employee has a flexible work schedule. Mr. Rabin believes that many firms, in contrast to years past, now view flexible scheduling as a recruitment and retention tool that allows firms to attract talented attorneys to their firms and to help prevent unnecessary turnover of attorneys that firms do not want to lose. The article concludes that it takes both women and men, working together, to help accelerate the retention and advancement of women lawyers into equity partnership, firm management, and other senior leadership positions.
